**Update Dec 31st 2020 Tronscan has removed the create wallet option for now so you will need to create your wallet using Tronlink. Follow the steps as follows for Step 3. If the create wallet option returns then skip this red and orange parts, Thank you sorry for any confusion.

  1. Set your password – dont forget it
  2. Set your account name – dont forget it
  3. Backup your Private key and also your 12 words or keystore if you get the all then back them up and store in a long term safe place.
  4. Import your Private key to all your devices phone, laptop, desktop, tablet for backup redundancy purposes.

Please follow the video Module 1 Updated How to setup your Tron Wallet under the Tron Guide that shows you how to create your wallet.

Then go to Tronscan to create your wallet: https://tronscan.org/#/walletconnect/createWallet

Follow the steps exactly please remember to backup the following information.

1.) Save your Password

2.) Download and Save your Keystore File the name is the name of your wallet will look like fjdlajfdka788fdsfhjafXXXjkfd.txt example.

3.) Save your Private Key and QR code picture

4.) Save your 12 Mnemonic words in the correct order

 

All these should be saved in multiple locations and formats, Paper, Screenshot, CD, pc, laptop, phone and be secure.

If you lose this you will be forever locked out and lose all your funds so be sure to backup everything.

New Account Create your account and backup using these steps provided.

Once you have installed Tronlink you need to open up your Tronlink and import your privatekey.

Step 1. When you first open your Tronlink you will have to create a Password.

Step 2. Choose Restore

Step 3. Create an Account Name ex. Your money bank, Tron Bank etc.

Step 4. Choose import Private Key

Step 5. Copy and past your Private key should look something like this, Ex. 748448fjffhdsfjdljfd884758435hfh…..

Make sure when you copy there are no missing letters or numbers and no spaces or gaps in the front or behind.

Once you are in you should see this: Your public address should match the name of your keystore file.
